May 2018 Baptism Testimonies

Kristen DiBiase, Mother of Tate DiBiase -

Tate has loved Jesus for a long time and has been learning about Him and we’ve felt the Holy Spirit moving in his life for a while.  He has had a sensitive spirit about him and asked deep questions about God for several years. He had a lot of questions about why we baptized an infant (Bo Barlow 😊 ) a few weeks ago. After explaining to him why we dedicate babies and what it means when someone decides for themselves to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior they can make a decision to get baptized, he told me He wanted Jesus in his heart as his savior and he wanted to get baptized. He prayed with us and asked God to forgive his sins and prayed that Jesus would be in his heart and be his savior.  When I asked him what he would like to say he said he wanted the whole church to know he loved God with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength. He says he is also excited that Jesus is coming back and there will be a new heaven and new earth!

Grayson "Gray" Lee Glaze -

Although I’m only 13 years old, I’ve experienced a lot.  I have had divorced parents all of my life.  I struggled going back and forth, keeping up with all my stuff, and just getting stressed.  There has been tension between both my parents my entire life, and I’ve tried and tried to make everyone happy.  I basically grew up in two different households.  I have also changed churches a few times as well, dealt with mean people at school, and many other things.  But, like John Hugh says…there are no accidents in Christianity.  I started going to Bellwether and things in my life started to change.  I met Hunter Poole who has helped me so much and we meet every Tuesday morning for bible study.  I’ve gotten closer and closer to Jesus, and now there’s no stopping.  I have chosen to be Baptized because I want to let God take control of my life and to be renewed.

Joella Lambert -

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who cannot destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your father. But even the hairs on your head are numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven”

Matthew 10: 28-32

I chose this passage in Matthew because it speaks to me about my continual journey through faith. I know Jesus was bringing me closer to him because there is not life on earth or in heaven where I want to be apart from him. He has led down a path of salvation and counted every hair on my head. And Jesus Christ knows me so well, he has made me perfect in his eyes, all my strengths and flaws. Despite everything that I have lived through as a sinner, he still loves me through his abounding grace and mercy. Now, I want to declare my faith as this passage states before my church family and friends.
